ATMIYA YOUTH CULTURAL CENTRE (AYCC)

Yogi Divine Society vision becomes a reality. It all began in 1988 with a small group led by like-minded individuals who were missing out on the values of rich culture and heritage. As time progressed more devotees joined this divine movement where many devotees would congregate at Mr Ramesh Maisuria’s house in Mt Roskill to celebrate our rich culture and heritage. By the early 2000’s Mohan Daya the president had led and inspired the organisation to a scale where a community centre was essential. Mohan Ji along with other senior members of the society’s tireless search for the communal space ended in 2011 when we acquired 28 Waipereira Avenue in Henderson, Auckland. The International President of the Society H.D.H Hariprasad Swamiji Maharaj blessed the land in 2012.

Yogi Divine Society is a trusted spiritual and humanitarian charity organisation founded by H.D.H Guru Hariprasad Swamiji Maharaj. With its vast network of centers and volunteers worldwide, the organisation has enabled hundreds of thousands of children, youth and families to lead a happy, peaceful and harmonious life. Followed by his demise in July 2021, his followers at Yogi Divine Society NZ Inc. have been uplifted and ever more determined to spread the message of “ATMIYATA” (spiritual harmony). In order to honour his legacy and bring his teaching to life. Yogi Divine Society New Zealand Inc.(YDS) has set aside a vision for the future. Today we are proud to see it coming to life. Through the development of a Youth Cultural Centre, Yogi Divine Society NZ Inc. is embarking on a journey to revolutionise the youth of yesterday, today and tomorrow. This is where the Atmiya Youth Community Centre (AYCC) serves as an essential platform for youth development.

Project AYCC:

The reality of this vision is ATMIYA YOUTH CULTURAL CENTRE based on 28 Waipareira Ave, Henderson, New Zealand. This three-storey Centre will be built on a piece of land which is 8,900sqm. Despite this land requiring a strenuous amount of excavation and earthworks, we were persistent to build here, as we want to serve West Auckland and the wider community. We are pleased to announce that construction will be commencing on 1st November 2021 and will run through till late 2023. A1 Projects Limited, who are our trusted project management consultants for this project along with our team of expert design consultants and contractors are excited to deliver this monumental project.

Our Vision/Mission:

Through AYCC we hope to serve the community by providing socio-spiritual services, cultural training and other human services like health-care and educational activities on a secular basis to promote community development, family values enrichment, educational literacy, good health and self-sufficiency and enable happy, peaceful and harmonious life. We are very grateful for the kind support through good and advice and donations that we have received so far from the members of the community. In the testing times, we are in, AYCC is the light at the end of the tunnel for us, and we hope for it to be the same for West Auckland and the wider community. Every grain of soil, and individual brick is valuable towards serving our community. We welcome your financial contribution towards our noble cause.
